"I am the vine and you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, bears much fruit for without me you can do nothing." John 15:5
More about Vine&Willow
When we opened our brick and mortar in 2015 I wanted a name for our little shoppe that meant something to me. I had no idea how much these two little words would serve as such a beautiful reminder over the next few years. The vine represents Jesus, because of Him, I have been given new life. I now abide as a branch to the vine and that's exactly where I need and want to be. I am a do it yourself kind of girl and often times I think I've got this thing in my own strength, but this little business would be nothing without HIS leading in the first place and I need Him every step of the way. When my heart is overwhelmed or I am questioning what the next step is, He reminds me that I just need to abide (remain) in Him one day at a time. He is where I find my strength, He will continue to lead, and He is the only reason I can produce good fruit. I also love the image of the willow tree. It's always planted by streams of water, another picture of where I want to remain--
near the source of living water.
Jesus said to her, "Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life"
